Don't mean to disappoint you Pappy, but my wife said oh yeah I know them  ;).  Her mom is an old time country singer/poet that performs all over.  We love all types of music, thanks for sharing that (I hadn't heard them before).

I thought this was going to be a post of actual cactus blossoms
like the Hedgehog Cactus flower that is my avatar.
the flower was soo bright it hurt my eyes looking at it in the desert north of Phoenix AZ.
