I get some boxes from work that are kiln dried 3/4x8" x usually minimum of 12' long. I'm thinkin cedar or a red pine possibly. . Not sure.
Here they are.

Some kind of hard pine. If I see dimples there, that are characteristics of lodgepole, jack or ponderosa. The heart there indicates ponderosa. Otherwise red pine I think.

It is definitely not SYP or southern yellow pine.
