For me anyway.

Marty found this one during his work travels today.  He was told that the silo is two story and that it is very nice inside.

I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

I had wondered about doing that when Sharon bought her current property. There was a big silo like that, sturdy as, and all galv steel. Used to hold pig food, but now rats and frogs.

It got hauled off for scrap, but it took a 20 ton digger to squash it down enough to fit on the scrap truck. She got the property cheap as it was an old run down pig farm. Mostly now hauled away for scrap (or buried) and waste ponds dried out. It's gone from a hazmat site to a much more valuable small farm, but I still think a silo house would have been cool

They took one down and then put it back up in town about 15 years ago. Turned it into a restaurant that didn't last very long. Don't think it was the grain bins fault.  It was very nice inside.

I've seen them used as pavilions with just a few top rings and posts holding it up.  I've also seen them as displays areas at fair grounds but hadn't seen a bin house before.

Ingenious!

Reminds me of a few years ago when a customer converted a steel silo on an old farm into a lookout tower. I cut the lumber for the stair treads and upper room floor.
