questions for you,
did anyone use this simonds speed wrench?
did anyone ever make up a tool that works,? other than a make shift tool and concrete nail,lol
any suggestions?

Buy one.  The aggravation you'll have trying to make one won't be worth it.  Are you talking about hand files or a filer?  You can get all that from your saw doc, or try Menominee Saw, who is one of our sponsors.  Link is to the left.

Most saw shops can get you one.  I had one, but didn't like it and reverted back to a Jockey grinder.  But, I always fell back to sharpening with an 8" or 10" mill bastard file.  The Jockey helped me maintain my angle on my tooth.
