it'll work.  just hook it up to a cold fusion device.   :)
I used to think I could fix DanG near anything...now I know I can...or I think I can...or maybe I can?

I would try it with some cold fusion, but my new icebox is not working very good and all I have is warm fusion. :(

Sounds more like "con-fusion" to me

Anybody ever hear of a "Minto wheel"?  It's about as close to perpetual motion as you can get.

Something about this discussion reminds me of the "super ball" of the 1960's.... It was supposed to get a bigger bounce after each time it hit the ground.

It *did* get a bigger bounce on the second bounce, but was shorter and shorter after that until it eventually bounced no more.

GREAT link Jeff!

Mr Mom

Don't get taken by these guys. I guarantee your idea will work. They are just trying to steal your idea and keep it for themselves.

There is no guarantee of how long it will work though.  ;D

I know i should keep this knowledge to myself
but you know the little solar powered garden lights?
well you can charge one up then use that one to charge the next and back and forth we been doing it for years in this country (not enough sunshine to make it commercial)

Jeff...that's a good site ;) ;)

I been thinkin' about frictionless pistons for a long time...but the cross axle linkage is kind of a new twist on it (fer me anyways)...I guess I'll work on my molecular transport machine instead now ::) ::)

The meter reader went up to one old mountain cabin to take his readings. The old granny woman that occupied the humble dwelling came to the door and invited him in, all the while explaining that her light bulb had died and that she hadn't used any electricity. He took the reading and sure enough she hadn't used a bit.

The meter reader told her she wouldn't have much of a bill this month. "Not much of a bill? I didn't use a drop of your power!"

The meter reader had to explain that it was a service charge to maintain the line to her cabin and pay for the squirrels to run the wheel on the generator, the usual big business stuff.

Well, the granny woman plugged in a drop cord to the bare bulb socket and threw the other end on the floor. "If I'm a paying either way, I'll just let it run out on the floor!"

The meter reader calmed her down and got her to sweep the puddle of electricity outside, after all some small child might accidently step in it and have a nasty shock.

Can't be too safe with that stuff.

Mr Mom

Thanks alot guy and gals but i will try to see if it will work. All i need is hum ......everything and some more of everything.

We've got an old generator with a Wis. Robin engine with a bad mag.  We wired it up with a 12v coil and used a battery for spark.  It worked good.  I used it when I was building my house and would leave the battery charger plugged into the gen to charge the battery.  One day I had the bright idea of using the charger to provide the juice to make the ignition spark.  I hooked the charger clamps to the clamps from the gen while they were hooked to the battery and then slipped them off the battery posts.  It worked.  The engine kept running.  8) 8)

I remember asking my dad the same question while in my early teens and he said something about perpetual motion being impossible but he did not know why. :D

That's an odd definition of rutabagers...I think your dad was pulling your leg.   ;D ;D ;D
Y'all can pronounce it "puh-SKOLLY"

All this talk has inspired me! My power strip that the computer and monitor are plugged into has an unused outlet. Think I'll unplug the strip from the wall and plug it into itself... ::)

Now you guy are making fun of me.
It was just a thought and i never said that i was the smartest rock in the driveway.

     Thanks Alot Mr Mom

Jeff

They really aint I'm sure. We all have all thought the same things I'll bet and were never brave enough to play around with it much lee talk about it. (Well, I did, but you see where it got me. I still go off line when the power goes off)

Honest Mr. Mom, the fun is just being made, but not directed at an indivdual. Now if Chet was to try this,  THEN we could make some fun at somebody. ;)

Don't want to hi-jack the thread, but this reminded me of a (true) tale my brother tole me..........He was living in Kings Tree, SC at time;  had a friend who was a meter reader.  One of the residents in a large subdivison came outside while he was reading his meter and complained bitterly about the price of electricity.  The meter reader motioned him closer and while looking furtively around whispered that if he would promise not to tell anyone, he could tell him how to substantially reduce his bill;  just place a half-brick on top of the meter, which would slow it down.  The fellow promised not to tell a soul............when the meter reader came back the next month, every single house in the subdivision had a half-brick on the meter. 8)
Here's to us and those like us; DanG few of us left!

It was a sack of salt draped over the meters up on Bent Mt that seemed to have the same effect  ;D.

They just replaced our meters with the high output radio ones, no one has to come on the property. The dogs are bummed  :D.

Just between you me and the fencepost, the government is pretty sure it has several of those perpetual motion machines in operation already, kinda hard to say for sure, it takes alot of mass awhile to grind to a halt  ;).
