buying Dirty Hand splitter - maybe???

Glad yours is working out for you.
Mine is a 37 yr old home made horizontal splitter 5 hp Honda no idea what tonnage, 23" wood, 2 way wedge. upgraded to 4 way for a while, but took it off.
Heavy pieces were not a problem until I hit 75 as they are long enough to tip them up onto the main beam.
rebuilt cylinder and valve once.
Original engine was a sears 8 hp which lasted 20 yrs.
Never saw the advantage to a vertical configuration.
