Started the day by super glueing the little valve on my Lt10 water tank.  My wife yelled from the porch that she didn't have any hot water in the house.  Found the thermostat was bad.  We took a lightning strike yesterday.  I don't think it hit the water heater but probably it was time for it to fail.   I went to the barn to remove one from spare water heater (everybody keeps a spare for parts, right?) and put my hand on a big rat snake that was laying on a tractor tire that I needed to move.  I hope I scared him as much as he scared me. :D :D

How is the water heater? ;D
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

I know the feeling Six,we were about to mow out a path to lay irrigation pipe last week.I just could not let those ripe black berries go to waste so i was picking and eating while waiting for the mower.Later back at the shop the man on the mower came over and said he killed a 4 and a half foot cotton mouth in that patch.Just one of those things i guess.

I'd say you were pretty lucky (not about the snake part  :D), dads place got hit by lightning once and we were finding things bad or going bad for months.  Had two electric fencers in different out buildings and fried them both, the lightning hit the house.  It can really do weird things, blew about every fuse in every building.
