"kilo" or "k" (small k) = 1000

kilogram (kg) = 1000 grams (weight), kilometers (km) = 1000 meters (length), etc...
So we should be converting our money to euros or something!  ;D

No, we can still use kilodollars.  In fact, you can learn to take advantage of it...

Honey, I'm thinking about buying a new pickup truck.  Well how much is that *$#@& thing going to cost?  Don't worry honey, it's only 25 kdollars.

See, it doesn't sound that bad now!   :D

Received my Nielsen letter and survey this week and they are still paying $2 and $5 cash. I used the $2 to tip the Amish boy who delivers my weekly milk and yogurt.

My survey did include TV hours, which got a zero from me since I disconnected the TV cable in 2020 in an effort to reclaim my inner peace.

Anyone else heard from them since 2016?

I quit those TV surveys as we DVR much of what we watch and hard to make sense of the info. onto their format.
My Mom did Gallup polling for many years, mostly via on her feet drive to homes & farms, some phone calls, survey work, so I sort of try to assist those type of folks who work hard for their money.
I do senior age group surveys based on having been recruited at my heart docs office. The Chinese girl who runs the nursing school survey group, sends money to my Western Union Debit card they issued every time I complete a new survey.

Mine comes via email, not snail mail!  :D I get $25 for a short 5 minutes survey. Ya gotta be old to do this stuff. I qualify...
Of course United Health Care-our medicare provider has begun their payments to do their stuff like wellness and such-again. They stopped for a couple years. Honestly I lie and call my bi-annual checkup and meds renewal a wellness check. Whay waste the money they intend to save anyway?

I've ditch network TV a long time ago. Our networks up here haven't had anything worth the time since the early 90's. Used to subscribe to some C-band feeds, but that technology is long gone now. Everything now is a reality show, even on History channel. They've all gone in a nose dive for 15 years. :D

Never got cash in the mail.
But the wife opened up some "junk" mail and there was check inside for some amount, maybe $25?? Can't remember what for, something being over charged??
We wonder how many people just throw the envelope away thinking it's junk mail.
A good idea on their part. Looks like junk mail, so people throw it away, check never cashed!!!!

I thought most states had banned the burning of trash by now.
Must not be as wide spread as it seems.  The ban that is."

not burning trash, just some paper in the wood furnace
Burning barrels are illegal in nys. In the rural areas everyone has one.

I got about 50 letters with a stamped envelope from the Case dealer wanting me to fill out a credit application.  Threw them all away.  Then found they gave me a 2% cash discount for writing a check when I bought parts.  The dealer is lousy, parts man is a jerk, service manager is a jerk, what I did was get rid of all my Case IH equipment except for my skid steer, my tractors are green now.  Not sure that was a great idea the way JD is going. Now looks like Kubota might be the way to go, they bought out Great Plains manufacturing and set up a factory to build skidsteers in Salina KS.  This consolidation of dealerships in the implement business really sucks, you can't just call up the next dealer away and get good service, or a good price on equipment, the same company owns them all, and seems they are all jerks.  Where you gonna go?
