I have been checking on my SIL every day or so via my daughter.  He is still in NC.  His crew was in Smithfield, then they were moved to another small town.  A few days later they were sent to Wilmington, where they still are.  He and the rest of the men on his crew were required to get hepatitis shots prior to working in Wilmington.  They are doing all of the repair work off of hooks presumably due to the flooding and the difficulty of getting trucks to where they are working.  Since he left 10-12 days ago, he has grown quite an impressive beard.

Our local news has been covering more on the anniversary of Maria and Puerto Rico than Florence and NC.  The amount of flooding in parts NC is going to take quite some time to recover from.  I hope that those of you impacted by Florence are getting things back to normal.

Hope he remains safe.  That will be a lot more physical working from hooks.  Neuse River was to crest this weekend.
