How do I quiet down my 090 saw?  Is there some kind of effective silencer muffler for them?  Trying to avoid disturbing neighbors more than I have to when I'm slabbing with my Alaskan mill and the 090 is a loud saw.
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

I can't imagine there is any off the shelf solution, but I have seen an aftermarket motorcycle muffler adapted to fit on a chainsaw. As in an actual muffler, with some baffles etc in it, not a
megaphone. :D As the saw is on an Alaskan having an couple inches of curved pipe and a larger "Can" muffler is more practical.

The 090 isn't that different from a 125cc 2-stroke dirt bike after all.

Yep those aluminum cast 090 mufflers are noisy. There is a factory OEM steel canister muffler available for the 090 its a lot quieter
