Thanks Guys!, I made this little Colonial Williamsburg Style Garden Shed for a client a few years ago.  I drew the plans, cut the trees down, sawed the logs, and built the shed over a period of about 6 weeks.  I even handmade the windows.

Here's a few Spalted Maple Benches I made from Spalted Maple Slabs and a couple 2x4s for the legs.  Just draw knife tenons for the legs, gives them a nice "handcrafted" look, don't you think?

These things sold like hotcakes!  Even shipped one to Florida!

Very nice.  I don't see any wedges in the tenons.  You glued um in?

Yes Sir, I slathered them down real good, then I used my 8lb. sledge hammer to drive em on in before I sawed them off level.  and I really beat the pith out of them, almost to the point I think the slab is gonna split!

red oak mantle slabs

I cut these mantles out of pretty much "junk" red oak logs...I can get two per log, and sell them for a $100 bill each.  Not bad for firewood, and I cant keep them on the yard!

Most of my Mantles come out of junk logs......there is a market for every log on your yard.  :)

Here's a craftsman style door I made a few years ago out of some old poplar and pine boards.  Ive since installed it and add the glass.
