changing screen name?

  how do i change my screen name?  i looked under edit profile, but the screen name seemed unalterable.

Yes, all screen name changes need approval through the Admins due to abuse of the feature in the past.
Send a request via IM to one of the Admins and they will take a look and see if they can allow the new sceen name.
