Hello all,
Was up cutting today and dropped a decent sized tree that split at the bottom.
Thinking it's a red oak, but not sure.
Any help would be great

That is sure what it looks like.  A close up pic of the end grain will confirm.

It will be cut off. Only had my 16" bar at the time and the left side was broke off near the top which is why I cut it down.
