At first glance I thought red maple but it looks to roundish, any thoughts?

Might just be variance in leaf morphology. If it is hairy on the back it could be mountain maple, but the lobes are typically pointy. Would be seeds now on mountain maple.

It did have seeds. All the red maple I see they are not round like this leaf, leading up to the points you can see it's fatter and rounder, all red maples I see are more straight

Looks pointy enough for maple when you flip it over. ;) If no hairs there, then red maple.
