Now that I'm having surgery for kidney cancer just a month before that, I'll need to see how well I'm doing. A long drive may not be very good at that time, if I miss it, maybe this can be an annual (or semi annual) event, and I could make the next one. If all goes well, I still might be able to come.

We will put a bowl of grits out and all the flies big small will come and drown in it.  ;D
I hear that stuff attracts flies.  :D
Just make sure the bowl is far away from us is all.  ;)

Ok I found the post with the location. The date will work for me so I should be able to attend. I will figure out something to bring for food.
Will we be grilling food?

Bruno of NH

I was going to bring a grill if it's alright with Peter

On the food thing, Bruno and I have to talk about it some, I think with only 20 or 30 people coming, maybe 40 Bruno and I can cover it.
With hamburgers and hot dogs, potato salad, some green salads and cold drinks, water,
I don't know when we get closer we can get a better headcount. This is Brunos and my first time doing this. When we get closer Ross from Wood Mizer will let us know if he can make it with some new equipment he has.
In another place here Bruno asked If we can get a speaker here on drying lumber. And it was said that would cost $$$$ to get one here.
I think Bruno and I are open to ideas too.  :D :D
Maybe I can get the group to tail the mill, use the edger and we can get 10,000
BF cut and sticked,  :D  :D  :D

Well, that's good news. What will it take to assure that the only cooking implements we have are grills?

Maybe just best to take a poll to see what everybody wants to do. I have no experience around a mill. I'd be happy with some theory about setting up a mill, and why and how of some different cuts. I wouldn't want to suggest that. There'll be too many people who know all that already. I kind of think I remember somebody back near the start of the post talking about RRQS. I'd like to see some of that
I believe in the hereafter, because every time I take two steps into the tool crib to get something I wonder " what did I come in here after"

If nothing else I'm always a good last resort or the guy to hold up as a bad example

Peter
I'm running low on sharp bands
I will be coming the way maybe this week or beginning of next.
It's getting close
That way we can talk about the food

Couple of questions
Are many wives expected to attend?
If not how is the supply of antiques/craft fairs/flea markets in your area.
My good wife likes to travel with me and if there are enough to keep her busy she may tag along.
Also motels near by?

I wished somebody would have told me that 15 years ago.  I'd rather cook one pig versus 200 hamburgerd.

When I get a pig it's walking, I like to do it all from the start. Know what you have that way.
I would like this thing to be about wood, logging, sawing, drying,  Eating would be a small but fun part of it. Won't be cooking 200 hamburgers. :D :D :D
