Spring onions are the best. Corn is knee high by the 4th of June

Looks great WOC. What was your planting date on the onions? Just got back from checking my first corn, it's starting to tassel   
The old "knee high by the Fourth of July " was running through my head and got to thinking shoot I've got armpit high corn just after the 4th of June

It's an odd year here.  I have cereal rye planted in December and warm season Johnson Grass that are the same height right now, both still vegetative.  White, red, yellow and crimson clover all in bloom at the same time too.  

For how we farm it's perfect and I will take it.  Your corn is ahead of ours newood.  Waist high and no tassel at all.

Yeah the corn was an experiment that seems to be working. Planted it on April 10th through a raised bed of black plastic with drip tape and fertilizer applied under it,Then covered with remay. 
Germination could have been better but given the cold start to the season was still acceptable. Stepping away from conventional methods and complete lack of herbicides is what sparked the idea.
