Been pondering.....If you run a twin blade saw 1 blade verical-1 blade horizontal would a portion of what you cut be quarter sawn.....Cheyenne

Sure.  You sould be able to quarter saw a good bit with a twin blade saw.  Take deep cuts accross the top an wide cuts in the middle followed by deep cuts on the bottom.  At least that is what I would do with a swinger.   It is sort of like a twin blade saw.  You just ahve to made two passes and it doesn't drag the board back ;D

It depends on the size of the log a bit.  There is certainly a larger percentage of rift than the octagonal method that some of the bandmill guys use.
