Has anyone found a 16" bar and chain with a .050 gauge to upgrade the M18? I tried to use my Stihl bar but the adjuster pin is in the wrong location to work.

Your best bet would be a small consumer saw like a Poulan. I'd compare that bar to stock.

I think Oregon makes the bar for Milwaukee, might try them.

Oregon makes the OEM bar for the Milwaukee M18 chainsaw. The only bar on the Oregon website for the M18 is a 3/8" pitch low profile, .043" gauge, 16" bar, same as OEM.

What makes you want to change? That bar is a good match for the saw. There might be better chains than what comes stock, however.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I want to go to a .050 gauge chain is I have several chains bought on a deal though Oregon couple years ago. Plus the .043 is a bit flimsy for my taste and the M18 has the power to run a better chain.
