Hi Guys,
I'm trying to restore an early (1991) 272xp that has had the steel tube brake handle.
Is there any chance one of these is lying around, If not could it be updated to newer version.
The brake seems to work fine except for where it ran into a hacksaw.
The saw is running fine and I hope this is the last piece of the puzzle.
thanks,     Fred

My 272xp is a later model but has a tube carrying handle.  I cut it with another saw when it was pinched in a tree >:(.  I was able to glue a sleeve on it with JB weld.  Taped it up and it has held up for the past 20 years.

This one was cut pretty flush. Not much to work with.
I'm thinking I could Run a 3/8" tap in there and MacGyver it though.
Restore might have been too strong a term, I hope to wear it out before my Grandkids get ahold of it.
thanks,  Fred
