I had same issue, same saw even, the horseshoe unit under the flywheel failed, bought new updated unit from Stihl, this one was now outside of the flywheel in the air stream, probably for better cooling. I know its no longer made, as one suggested, the Oregon unit or the NOVAII unit should get you going.

Generally, it's been bad JuJu to place electronic parts under the flywheel-heat. Look at the problems SEM's has had doing that over the yrs.

There was an engineer though, that figured out how/where to remove the potting of the module and move the pulse capacitor remotely outside the flywheel...thus restoring a very famous Squeal model to service again.
