Putting in a half mile of haul road, need a permanent bridge 19' span (20'steel).
Would like it to handle any road legal truck. Who can calculate up my steel requirements?

The bridges that the company has that I contract for are steel. We cross them with a truck and pup loaded without no problems. They are not permanent though. They have 3 sets, 20, 30 and 40 footers. I've used the 30's a couple times. They are 2 halves 6 foot wide each. Each half uses 10"wide by 10" high H beams, stronger than "I" beams. 3 of them per half encased on each end with 3/8 steel. I think there decked with 1/4 or 3/8 with expanded metal welded on for traction. There is a 4" lip welded on each half on one side so when you push them together the lip will keep a truck or skidder from sliding off and keep logs on the bridge rather than dropping in the stream when crossing. D rings are welded on all 4 corners so they can be towed easy. Easiest towed upside down. Makes my little 225 grunt when moving them.
