Came across some 2100 parts today. The tank is toast with the typical leak issue but wondering if this o-ring looks familiar for the end of the manual oiler plunger. It came out of the fuel tank when scavenging parts. Kevin, hoping your knowledge can take a shot. The plunger sits in the fuel tank so my amateur conclusion is a yes.

Sorry, been out of town working for 4 days. That O-ring on the end of the oiler is what keeps gas mix and bar oil from mixing together. It's a somewhat tough size to find. However, it's also used in the manual oiler itself. If you look at the IPL, you'll see the same # repeated.

If you have a manual oiler sitting around, you can steal the O-ring. I've never found a decent source for that particular O-ring. I've seen many pleas for it on the forums. I'm sure Master Carr or someone similar has it if we mic-ed a good one.

No sweat, duty calls! Thanks for the info. Was kinda puzzled to see it drop out of the fuel tank but then remembered the set up with these saws in there. I would imagine that there could be some lee way regarding exact size as it seems they get squished down pretty good by the plunger.

Yes, looking at that old one of yours it looks more like a gasket than a O-ring. Been in there a long time I'm betting....lol.

That's for sure! It's as hard as plastic almost. If I tried to bend it, it would break in two. I'll use it for measurement/size

Find the saw IPL and note which O-ring has the same part # on the manual oiler body itself. That will be in a lot better shape to mic....lol.

The # I get is; 297 01 15-02. It's the bottom O-ring of the three on the manual oiler that's the same as that one you pictured. Those three O-rings are all different sizes on the oiler...they used to come in a kit. Maybe I'll get ambitious and measure all three and figure out where to get them.:P

Forget that #....they've all been superseded.

Thanks Kevin, appreciate that info! I'll check them out and order some. That is if the shipping doesn't kill the deal. Thanks again. :D

Hey, just PM me privately for buying & shipping from here. I've done it in the past for small orders.....happy to do it!

I'm tempted to buy them myself and mic them all for a cheaper source. I don't think a small O-ring should be more than $2ea even online.

That's a kind offer Kevin
