You're probably doing this smarter than the rest of us did. Most of ran out and got a mill then tried to figure out how to handle the logs or even where to get them. Good on you.

Welcome Peter to the best forum on the www .  I don't think you will find a better bunch of folks. 

I too am kinda new but like yourself, learned I needed a Logrite.   I got one of their orange "STIHL" cant hooks, a really great tool.
