Blackhorned Pine Beetle

How concerned should I be about the Blackhorned Pine Beetle?  They are currently feasting on one of my dead pine trees.  I have been told they only attack dead or diseased trees.  Let this be true as I have 10 acres of mature pine trees. 

When I cut down the infested tree, should I dispose elsewhere or burn?

First of all, there are lots of "black horned pine beetles", second - since it is in a dead trees probably no worries; I bet it is what we call a "Bessie bug"which is totally harmless.  A general rule of thumb is the bigger the "bug", the less dangerous it is.  Take a look at a Bessie bug (Google) and other assorted critters and see if you can narrow it down a bit..... :P
