This looks to be a material handling blower - meaning it'll suck wood chips. Impeller blades appear to have hardened wear-plates. Not the most efficient for moving air, but cannot be beat for moving wood chips and sawdust. Nice looking unit.

Thanks for the info.

Price lowered to $750.

Any idea what HP would usually run this blower?
-
No idea, when I bought with planer he had a 5hp on it. It ran slow and moved air but no where what it was meant to do. I sure he could have sped it up with just the 5hp. I have a 15hp 3ph that I would think make some air or chip fly.

What is the diameter of the round plate on the housing and how deep (thick) is the housing? Or better, what is the diameter and depth of the fan itself?
-
The inlet is 15" and the fan is 12" wide and 36" Dia.
-
Hmm, too many variables I guess. I'm thinking it would start to work well at around 20 hp

Thanks Don - I could do that but it would complicate things.
