Windy as it is here, the cold'll be there fore ya know it. I gotta go back out to the barn an feed. Just helped Art's dog (I think) he has a big knot on the side of his neck, stuck a needle in it an drew out some pussie blood put some drawing salve on it and a wrap. Will see if it does any good or not.

Well, I guess it's a good thing. Now no guy will even think of trying to borrow your lawn mower.  :D :D

It's cool here and going to be a bit cooler in late week with all this rain/shower activity. Never did much today, 2/10 I guess. Not so wet cutting hardwood and aspen as it is under fir. Them fir hold water for 2 days. ::)

Reading in the news yesterday, there was a traffic accident where a guy in a van was driving along, and the wind blew him off the road. First on the scene was the local fire crew, which were giving him first aid and directing traffic and two of them got blown over and injured, cuts and broken leg.

Then the ambulance shows up and it gets blown over, on top of the 2 female crew, breaking one of the women's leg. So now they are up to 4 casualties and don't even have the first guy out of the van. Talk about loosing ground.

Anyway they were able to winch the ambulance off the paramedics with the aid of a passing 4x4 with a winch, then got a couple more ambulances to haul off all the casualties.

A guy on a roadbike, maybe 4 or 5 car lengths ahead of me had a near wipe out.  I was watching when the same gust that hit me and moved the truck hit him. It moved him from the center of the lane, clear across the shoulder on to the grass in a heart beat. He just missed one of those highway reflectors. He just came back on to the road and continued on.

There`s a lighthouse built on a rock off shore that has monitoring equipment that can be accessed on your putter, last Saturday 73mph winds and 17' waves were recorded, Andy said the surfing was AWESOME :o

And I still am retreating to my bedroom with the air conditioner on to get out of the heat.

They sometimes close down the Confederation bridge crossing from NB to PEI because of wind. That's 8 miles over open ocean and very cold ocean I might add.

Back to the topic, I tossed a wool blanket on the bed last night. Well, it ain't that cold but it was there on the chair so I thought might as well use it. :D
