That is a Vegvisir or runic compass. You can read about it HERE. Some say Icelandic, some say Norsk, but the truth is, they are really the same cultures back in those early days, Iceland having been settled by Vikings form Norway and Denmark. Over time the languages became different and the Icelandic culture developed in it's own way.

My brother Bruce is a non-veteran serving on the rifle team for the VFW in Emporia Ks.  Not enough healthy vets to do funerals and vet events.  They carry M1 Garands.  his commander loves whiskey, so we engraved a small bottle of moonshine for him with the Army logo.

my brother Bruce.

My parents (prob. Mom) thought it would be cute to name us all B names.  Bryan, Brad and Bruce.  My Dad was William and went by Bill.  When she got frustrated, mad, or excited, the right name never came out and was often just a B sound.

I am stepping down as Chief of Staff after a 2-year term.  It is a total of 6, as you do 2 years pre, and 2 years post.  Here is a plaque of curly walnut for my buddy Dr. Hagley.  Worked together for 30 years.  also know as @Cardiodoc but rarely posts on the forum.

It was unfinished at the presentation.  Chairman of the board, CEO, Mike Hagley after over 6 years in the COS positions, Me outgoing COS, and Dr. Degner, CMO.  lots of letters and miles behind us.
