Howdy Guys!

Been a minute since I've posted, due to my Pa's health, but I'm trying to get set for winter.

Wood donor swears its White Oak. I haven't harvested enough White Oak to really know.

Black, Burr, Live...etc...other??
I'm lost as a goose in high wind!
What say ye??

Thanks,

Reg

Looks like a wind shaken chestnut white oak to me.

Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

Be smarter than the sawdust

Didn't split too easy nor was it too beastly...kinda in the middle.
My Fiskars is a tad dull...
