it has been a very long time sense I posted an update on our log home project. Broke ground July 2014.

Footers.

ICFs going up.

Sewer drain plumbing

Radiant floor heat plumbing

Some interior wall work, three walls of ship lap pine, rest is sheetrock.

The kitchen, my Mom's old cabinets, white pine slabs planed and assembled by me ( and a good friend) finished by my bride.

Our grandson in the shoe closet.
Hard to believe it has taken three and a half years to get this far. We moved into the foundation yesterday. All of the logs are air drying in my lumber yard. We have picked out a contractor to put the logs up, roof on and install doors and windows. We decided we did not want to wait another three and a half years to finish! So we have a nice cozy concrete bunker to live in until the upstairs is built. The bride is happy, I'm happy and the dogs are happy, can't ask for more!
Next update may well be in 2019 when the main floor gets built.
