Maybe. Many mods that we had, do not work here now, and many of thiose old mods caused a bit of our upgrade headaches, and may still be.  So, maybe.

there is what appears to be a link cause it underlines if you hover called "logged".  if you click on it a pop up says error or you can only see your IP address.  is this supposed to be under each person's forum info in each post?  @Jeff @lurk

Yes
IP addresses are shown to administrators and moderators to facilitate moderation and to make it easier to track people up to no good. Remember that IP addresses may not always be identifying, and most people's IP addresses change periodically.

Mr. Buck

I hope this is the correct place.  Forum loads have been very slow for me lately (past week?) .  Other internet services seem fine.

No errors. Just load times for forums / threads and activities related to posting.  For what it's worth.

I have been experiencing about the same thing for several days.  The little ball just goes back and forth.  I may even get the screen saying that my connection has timed out.  I have two different services here and both are about the same.  This is not cell with my phone, it is hard wired service to a router & my MacBook.

I look at the bottom of the page and it says that the page was created in a small fraction of a second.  ??

Same - the database query itself may be fast, but the server serving the page seems like it is not keeping up.

I have no doubt that my problem is on my end because I am on the ragged edge of service.  Matter of fact an AT&T service guy said that he would never install mine with that low of a signal.  The signal strength should be over a 4 and mine is 2.  The good thing is that since I am an AT&T "retiree", it's cheap for me.  I get some benefits but no retirement check.

Comes and goes, sometimes it zips along then others it just spins it's wheels for a few seconds. My other forums are not affected.

You are right about coming and going, plus the other forum is still fast like it should be.

Evenin' everyone. So it seems that i have fixed the forum loading issue at least for the time being. Sorry for the delay, dad is away in the great north, so it took a minute for him to see there was an issue and relay it along. If anyone notices anything strange, weird, slow or fishy, with the forum, especially if it is a strange weirdly slow fish running amuck, feel free to send me a pm, and ill check it out as soon as I see it.

But for the time being, everything seems to be going swimmingly :)
Have a great night everyone!

May be helpful if "Nobohdy" would give us an introduction as to who he is. Thanks.   ffcool

@beenthere there's a small one in the post welcoming everyone back after the server migration, but here's a quick intro :)

I'm Jeremy, Jeff's son. I've been here in some capacity since the Forestry Forum first went on line.
I've had the privilege of watching you all have a hand in growing a once very small group, into one of, if not the largest databases of forest related knowledge in the world.

With that being said, you will rarely see a post from me because my knowledge on the subject is very limited to put it mildly ffcheesy

However, when someone/something feeds some mogwai after midnight and gremlins start running amok and wreaking havoc on the server, I'll try to keep you all updated while chasing them down and trying to restore order and functionality.  :wink_2:

Mine was running slow for about a week. This morning it was really hopping like it knew what it was doing. I came in just a minute ago and it was running slow again. Came over here to report it and it is jumping again right now. No clue what if anything I did.

Mine was fast/normal this morning but now it is like watching paint dry.  Sloooow.
