Decided to clean off the LT35 real good this morning. I did not get the cover on before some rain yesterday and did not want wet sawdust on everything.  When I finished I gave it a start up, ran the band, traveled down and back, and cycled all hydraulics. What?  The hydraulic motor would not shut off until I moved forward off the power bar.  Back up on the bar and pump starts.  I figured I must have disturbed the wiring while cleaning so pulled the hydraulic box cover and went through everything which looked ok.  Ran all the hydraulics and it still would not shut off. Put the cover back on and gave all the levers a whack out of frustration.  The pump shut off.  It appears one of the levers was not disengaging the power when I let go of it...Until I gave it a whack.

ffcheesy To jiggle or whack is always the question!  ffcheesy

Sounds like a micro switch is sticking.   Could be sawdust or something causing it to stick.  Could need an adjustment.  Usually it takes longer to remove the cover than fix the problem.

I'd check the solenoid in the box too. I had one fail on mine a year ago. As I remember I could jumper the power from one lead to the other to make the motor come on.

I assume it could just as easily stick in the on position as the off.

Sounds like my 20+ year old amp I use with my guitar. It has an intermittent crackle noise when I turn it on, one or two good smacks and it's all good and ready to rock. ffcheesy smiley_guitarist

Some might say that a good whack is good for your spouse occasionally, but if I said that, I'd be the one getting whacked!! :uhoh:
