I would like to buy quarter sawn enblemann spruce billets for guitar tops.  Are there mills in new mexico or colo. that saw ES large enough to get 8" wide  quarter sawn boards?  The tops for most quitars are only 20" long, so billets 2', 4' would be long enough.  I am primarily interested in NM an Co since I go there on vacations. I could pick the pieces, haul it back home and save shipping.  Would like sitka spruce and western cedar, but doubt there will much of either in those two states.  windell, 479 4428899 fayetteville ar

I think you need to start coming to Washington State on Vacation, if you want that type of wood. But real the Pacific NW is where all the music wood comes from, I don't think they grow trees that big or with a tight enough grain in New Mexico. If your ever on the Olympic Pennisula I could hook you up with the Music wood cutters.
