I need to replace the cable on my M-14 Bellsaw.  Any suggestions on what kind? I know it's a 1/4 inch cable but looking in McMaster Carr there are quite a few options of different types and materials ,any help would be appreciated

I don't know about 1/4" but in larger sizes it's 7x7 style.

1/4" seems light to me.  Mine was 5/16" or 3/8".

Your right I measured again and its 5/16

I just used a new roll of 7x7 (5/16) steel cable from Home Depot 
-2x belsaw m14s and a Lane circle mill.
