My Kohler has been over reving once in a while lately.(Seems like there was a post about that a while back)  Got to looking at the governor linkage which was pretty sticky. Oiled the whole linkage and was still sticky, I found the problem was a little rod that goes down into the carb with a rubber boot on it. (right side near the back) I pulled the boot off and oiled the rod, worked really smooth then.  Sawed yesterday, no more over reving.  Steve

Steve, that little grommet is the worst trouble spot whan the linkage gets a little dirty/corroded.  Great job on finding it.
