My thoughts exactly Ernie. Inventory of my parts dept (junk pile) turned up enough stuff to get started. May be time to revive Paul_H's wood burning truck thread.

You're lucky  my "parts and other valuable stuff" department was ransacked and taken to the dump while I was last in the hospital having a few stents stuck into the ol ticker.  Almost sent me back in for more surgery.

The station down the road from our house went up again today to $3.39 for Regular, with 10% ethanol. 2 weeks ago, I think it was $2.97. Average around VB now is about $3.21.

Every time something goes wrong in the middle east, the price of oil goes up.

Maybe that was the reason the Texans started a war there.

My kids go to school 20 miles from home. Factor in football and basketball practice and games at $3.39 a gallon, it gets old fast. And don't forget about softball and baseball in the summer either. The oil companies have us over a barral and there's nothing we can do about it. It just stinks!  smiley_smelly_skunk smiley_smelly_skunk

all x 3.78 to convert to us gallons. your money is worth about the same as ours your fuel taxes must be higher? here between the fed and state its about .55 per gallon on diesel gas is a little less maybe .50

Gas is 3.45-3.49 here.Just a short story about off road diesel. Not many places have it now at the pump. I go to a small store to get it.On road diesel is 3.87 there.Their off road is 3.77 now.  :o Use to be 40-60 cents less. Now I have a hard time getting it,they are sold out alot of time.Times are hard now,and people come in with their 5 gallons cans for their furnace. They can afford $30-60 but not the $350 at once or more for 100 gallons to be delivered to their homes. He went up on the price because of the demand. last time I bought it was 50¢ cheaper, but he was out,so I had to buy on road and spend $10 more.

That's a small tank, try 900 litres (233 USG) @ $1.15/l. Makes short work of a $1000 bill. :D

SwampDonkey, here in my area the oil companies will not delivery any less than 100 gallons.  ;) Some have 200 gallons tank some have 250 gallons. Most can't afford 100 gallons let alone to fill their 250 gallon tank.Would be impossible to have a 100 gallon tank here.Would have to run it dry each time so the oil company will come.
