Solar powered Nyle L200??

Has anyone done it? My power bill is 300-400 per month. Just wondered what it would cost to run it on solar. I dont know anything about doing this but figured this was a good place to start.  :P :P :P

PS I also have lots of burnable wood waste.... open to suggestions.

Depending on your cost per kilowatt/location, its probably cheaper to just keep paying the power bill.

It will cost you $2-3/watt just for panels, plus you will need inverters, breakers, wire, racking etc... Unless you live in the desert southwest you're probably going to average 4-5 hours of sun per day on a year long average.  You can work out the numbers... The break-even for most installs is 15-20 years.

If you do go solar, I'd opt for a grid-tie, with no batteries.

I've got I site where I've got no commercial power, and it will cost $20,000+ to bring power from the street. So I've looked into solar, and its pricy, but its either that or a generator... and they are pricy too.

Does the Nyle produce its heat with propane?

The heat source is electric in the L200 package
