Here are some pics of my outdoor wood stove while I was building it. Stove works really good and kept the house warm in the frigid temps we had this winter. Its a simple design that has a thermostat in the house that controls a draft door. When the house calls for heat the draft door opens till it gets up to temp. The blower is set to come on at a certain temp and go off at a certain temp. it has a high temp cutout to drop the draft door if it gets to hot. Just a nice simple setup that keeps the house warm.

i like simple. is the black square on the side a hole where you are getting your cold air? i wanted to do a simple outside furnace but run the ductwork under ground to my basement. jg
Yes the hole is where the blower motor mounts up for the cold air return from the house hooks to. Its a 18 inch flex duct.
Nice job, I like it!
So did you insulate the pipe going and coming from the house?
Just wondering what temp was the fridgid temp.
The duct going to the house is Insulated and the return air is insulated flex duct. The lowest temp we had was -8
Thanks for the info. How does insurance look at it. We always have problems with them up here. If it burns wood dont matter were it is they want to surcharge.
Haven't had a my trouble on insurance
Here is some more pics of what it looks like now.

Way to go. I should copy that for a lumber dryer.
