@Jeff, I was just using the log and lumber weight calculator and something doesn't seem right. It told me that 3000 bd. ft. of red oak weighs 15600 lbs. and 4 cords of red oak weighs 22800. I always used the conversion of 1000 bd. ft. equals 2 cord so 3000 bd. ft. ( 6 cord ) should weigh a lot more then 4 cord.

when the calculator figures board footage weight it is not weighing the slabs and sawdust.
