Have an "end of service life" Stihl ms310 and a Holzfforma prebuilt g366 ( ms361 clone ) saw. TWO different ends of the Aftermarket world going to be on display in this series..this video being the second or third, basically have the ms310 running and needed a "bench mark" along with the "as delivered" g366. Hoping to massage both into useful work saws from where they are. Point of this simply is these are the ways many of you will engage with the Aftermarket saw parts world. Most will start with an OEM saw that is worn out or damaged and look for lower cost (cheap) bits and pieces to get them through another season or two. Others, usually those new to the "saw" world will find these "clones" online and be attracted to the cost / spec sheet appearance of these pre-built options. SO with out bias I will just document the experience. OK a little bias as I like the more simplistic designs of period Husqvarna's. And will do my best not to inject those sentiments. Maybe a side by side build will do the talking ONCE I actually am familiar enough with the saws on display here..:)

Have you noticed the muffler on the ms310? Super restrictive! A friend of mine that I cut with has one and after a dual port muffler mod the saw really picked up performance. I couldn't believe how tiny the factory ports were.
