Stihl 011AVT

I thought I posted this here already so if I did my apologies but *DanG....

I was gifted this 011AVT about a year ago and initially had no problems. Recently it would start but not stay running no matter the fiddling I did. I don't do my own work so I took it in. Turned out easier to replace the carb and checked and replaced the other basics - filter, plug, fuel vent. Compression was acceptable. Now this saw always started pretty easy. Anyway got it back after they told me it starts a little hard. Well, it won't start at all. Smells flooded immediately. I was only able to get it to run once. Took it back in.

Am curious what folks think about this before they tell me from the shop. Thank you. :-\
