I'm refering to the "more" smileys link.  I can't believe how fast they are loading tonight.  :o  They all pop on in the new window almost instantly.   8) 8)  I've always had to wait while the whole page loads.

Definitely loading faster for me too, though it isn't 'instant'.

You see the thing is I must not be using as many so itmust be freeing up the system  :) ;) :D :D

There have not been any system changes to anything, let alone to the smileys, so, it's all in yer heads. ;)

It's in my head too.

What is really slow, is the hangup in the forum that I get at midnight. At the stroke of 12, things seem to just stop for 4-5 minutes. Must be reloading the next day.  ;D

No complaints tho!

I think the smiley loading depends on the cache. Sometimes mine opens up instant, and then other times I have to load them all again. I've noticed this for a long time.

Definately a change.    Even this morning.  Once the more smileys window opens they just load into the window at an incredable speed.   It used to take over a minute or more for the entire wack of them to load.

I figured it out:  you're getting older, and time seems like it's going by faster.

There's a fine line between turning firewood into beautiful things and beautiful things into firewood.

Might not have been anything Jeff has done, but I just cleared my browser cache, and called up the "extra smilies" and it was still fast.

Maybe the service provider has quietly upgraded something in the system?

Anyway, few people complain if systems work faster if they did before.  :D

Something definitely changed.  What browsers are you all using?  I'm currently using FireFox, which just released an update a couple of days ago.  That could be it.

I haven't/didn't change mine. Still IE and noticed the increase.

I just tried it here and those smilies are as slow loading on dial-up as ever. As Jeff said, it's all in your head. :D

Perhaps I'd not loaded up the smilies page since moving to my faster internet connection.  Hmmm.
