It happens quite often around here as my hook spends quite a bit of time laying against the log pile between uses.  I will grab it to put it in the truck or use it in the yard and the handle would have filled with rainwater. :D

I'm wondering if a 1/4" weep hole drilled near the bottom of the handle will effect the strength or warrenty. ???

Get you a mill special with the baseball bat end , and send the one you got to me and i will keep it under the shed. ;) :D ;D 8)  Tim
Never explain, your friends don't need it, and your enemies won't believe you any way.

Did you damage the grip?  Is the end of your rubber grip missing?

Yes, altering the tool by welding or drilling will affect the warranty.

If your grip is damaged you can replace the grip or I have a plastic plug that will fit into the end.

Email me and we can fix you right up.

Yes, the grip is working its way down the handle and exposed the open end of the pipe.  Not quite sure how to avoid that happening again in the future.  It might be for naut to replace it. :-\

The easiest way to handle this would be to just put the danG thing away at night, eh? ::)

The plastic plug remedy will keep it from filling up with water.  You might make a plug with wood if you need it now.  :)

Kevin

Stand it up with the open end down.

I guess the blade mark in mine might void the warranty...Eh?
Why not just 1 pain free day?
