My buddy is up there all the time, although this year he was invited back to KatchaKan (spelling) AK. to carve totems on the same dates. He has carved all over the world. They just filmed an A&E special up in Ridgeway about the carvers. He is quite good, more of a sculptor who happens to use a chainsaw.

Also, if your into antiques a friend from the Burgh moved up to Ridgeway and opened the Clarion River Trading Post right across from the Fire Station. He usually has a great inventory of cool old logging tools. There is alot of logging history up there to draw from, he buys ALOT of old estates from people and finds the neatest logging tools. His name is Tim.

Great little historic mountain town, last time thru there (dropping my 8 year old off to meet Grammy in western NY) the fire chief came out and gave us the "dime" tour of the fire hall including a patch for my son. The "downtown" has lots of nice old buildings that are still "active". Lots of old money built the great architecture. I spent a few times in town as a youth as my grandpa had a "camp" (an old RV on a lot in woods :D) not too far down river out of town.
