when i check pressure how do i know if its  relief or main relief?

is the main relief pressure just with the machine running and port relief when u use a function

The machine works off the mains the ports are just load valves .the only time a port would open is if the load exceeds the setting or the main sticks closed. read earlier about turning the main in to set the ports higher than the main then backing the main out to system pressure.

if I put a lock valve on a grapple cylinder, will that block leaking off if its spool leaking? Or will it need one on each cylinder?
