cedar wood cookies

 I've cut lots of cedar cookies but now I've got some that a customer wants some finished. Have anyone of you finished any? What do you use? I do have a drum sander and was wondering about the edges, how and if you do any thing  to them?

I had always planned on finishing my big cookies with a router on a sled and the an orbital sander.

I take my orbital sander to put a small radius on the corners . If the cookies crack i use bowties and fill cracks with epoxy and sawdust mix ,then sand and finish them.
