Another 025 ?

 I've got a 025 Sthil, The saw starts just fine,Cold 2-3 pulls,But the brakes has it chain bar locked up.
All that I've done so far is removed the bar,It's still locked,Are they away just to do away with the brake on it? Never seen no use for it anyway .Mark :christmas:

Try removing the sprocket drum and getting it clean around that area. Accumulated saw dust and gum could be the cause.

Will the brake do anything when flipping the guard if not remove the cover over the clutch and see if something is broken.

Sorry I didn't get back with a reply,I did as Joe said & took it apart .Cleaned it up,& now it works like new 8)
