On the subject of ties. A ties has to be a minimum of 8'8". What do you pay for 8' or 9'. in Missouri who makes the decision on to paying by Doyle or international scale, the buyer or seller? Thanks

If the log is over 9' then it's scaled as a 9' log, and the outside is measured an scaled as 9' lumber. then the tie has to be trimmed to length.  Int. scale here only, or by weight,  the only mill around that I know that uses Doyle is the walnut mill, Int. scale or by the weight. pretty straight forward from there.
