This morning, it was raining and storming, and I thought what to do?? I looked to the deck, and saw this 24" dia.x 65" long Red Oak log. It was shouting, CUT ME!! So I did.

Loaded the log on the mill, and decided to use the winch to roll  the cant, instead of my back! Rerigged
the hook for side pulling, and started cutting slabs.

Rigged the nylon strap to choke the log, and winched up !

Cant gets 90° then reset the choker for another 90° roll.

This is as good as Bill's Easy Button, it makes the log light as a feather!

A few more cuts, and another cant flip-, and the job was done!! No worries!

Stickered and stacked, now a little drying, and it will be shop time for this load, a little over 90 b/f. I Love This Milling!!8) 8) 8) 8)

Nice results.  With oak, a little drying means a lot of drying  :D.
