Oak ID

Curious if anyone has any thoughts on these two different oaks. I am thinking that the one labeled left is a pin oak, but not so sure on the sample labeled right. The acorns on the right sample are more than half covered by the caps. Trees are located in sandy central Wisconsin. I could take pictures of the trees if anyone thinks it will help. Students have been studying different keys but not real satisfied with answers. Can't seem to find a good acorn chart.
Thanks

WDH

The one labeled "right" is black oak, Quercus velutina.
