Uploading GIF files?

Is it possible to upload a GIF file to a post on the FF?  I haven't found any technical info on this topic.  Thx.

Nope. They are annoying as hell. That is why you do not or never have seen the extension. You can really pith people off posting them.

I should add they are also a security risk.

Example. I could create an image that looks like a sawmill for 30 seconds. And have it turn into porn due to the animation abilities of the file type

Back in the early days the forum allowed 2 or 3 of mine. But they are disabled by the forum. One was snoopy doing the dance, one was an animated key press, and one a mosquito cartoon. They are in the gallery after all these years, but that is as far as they get, and only thumbnails. :D

Facebook seems to allow them, and with all their over use they become a PITA after awhile. :D
